Pro Tip: Your local shoe repair shop can repair, adjust, and bring new life to your shoes. They have the tools, training, and materials needed for almost every repair/adjustment.
Where are your shoes made?
Our shoes are made in premium small-scale, family-run factories in Colombia and Brazil. We work closely with our factories to create new designs and finalize production details. We exclusively work with factories that align with our values of respect for people, quality, and the environment.
Why/How did you get into the shoe business?
We got into the shoe business to make dress shoes feel better for women. It started with Chelsea's own pain point - wearing heels to work everyday. One day she got home from work, saw her running shoes at the front door, and thought: what if high heels could feel more like running shoes? She started noticing other women at work and conferences all complaining about their feet in heels. So she began sketching, cutting up shoes to mix components, researching, and outlining a business plan. After hitting some roadblocks, a turning point came when she attended a footwear materials show in Portland, OR, which led to visiting factories and finding the right manufacturing partners. It's been quite the journey - with lots of fun, learning, and tears along the way.
The best part has been the customers - who continually offer great feedback, encouragement, and support. They have made the company what it is.
If you're thinking of starting a business or getting into the shoe industry, get in touch, it's always fun to brainstorm ideas.
